I was the Local Project Manager for Old Trafford for 6 months, I am now the appointed Sustainability Coordinator for the office of the company I work for! Thanks to AfSL I feel well equipped and am confident I can bring a lot to the table. Working with AfSL improved my knowledge of the global issues and my understanding of the buzz terminology and inter-relationships of these issues. "Much of our work within the division is related to environmentalmanagement of the development, management or operation of infrastructureassets and our capabilities include Environmental Management and PolicyAdvice, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), SustainabilityAppraisal, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) . I have become increasingly concerned about the state of our planet and want to do more to help encourage people to live more sustainable lives. I work with vibrant groups to implement ideas towards the common goal of sustainability. I walk to work thereby reducing my carbon footprint and emissions! I am interested in the conservation and preservation of the environment and the achievement of this through a holistic approach encompassing the social and economic aspects of human activities. I have tried in my own little way to contribute to this thereby subscribing to the principle of “Think global, Act local”. |
