AfSL relies on volunteers to function; they play an essential role in all of our projects and core work. They offer a huge diversity of skills and experience that all extend AfSL’s capacity to support local people to live more sustainable lives. You may choose to volunteer in any of the following capacities.
Come along to one of our Introductions to find out more about these roles and how you can get involved. Please see our calendar or home page for details of the next AfSL Introduction.Whatever your personal motive is we welcome your support and aim to make the relationship one of mutual benefit by providing training and regular support. Volunteer of the Month January 2010! Wendy Allport, Local Project Manager for Levenshulme
|
Hi, I am a Local Project Manager for Levenshulme. I aim to reach people in the Levenshulme area, through organising events which local residents can become involved in and through providing information on sustainable issues. This includes understanding sustainability and how to make it workable for the individual and the community. For sustainability to be appealing to all, it needs to be accessible. |

It’s very human scale and nothing extraordinary is demanded of me plus I’m appreciated for the effort I make. It’s very comfortable work and I find the whole experience very rewarding
