It
with great regret that I have to inform you that the Green Gold garage closed,
on Saturday 27 January. Despite a lot of great successes and progress, we have
unfortunately not been able to make the project viable, and we have had to cope
with lots of unforeseen problems and barriers.
However, we feel we have moved the biofuel scene, especially in ,
forward a great deal and have demonstrated the possibility of
adopting more sustainable and carbon neutral transport fuel. We have saved at
least 350 tonnes of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere and helped
improve local air quality in , as well as supporting the local economy
and promoting fair trade and organic produce and other local projects.
We are certainly hoping to be able to develop alternative ways of helping people
use biodiesel in . This is likely to take some time, but do
watch this space.
Many thanks for all the interest, support and good wishes that we have had from
so many of you.
