Action for Sustainable Living (AfSL) is a charity that helps people to live more sustainably, focusing on simple changes that will make the world a better place to live in – for you and for your children.  We put people who have similar interests in touch with each other so that they can improve their local environment and develop their community.  We have helped set up action groups on energy efficiency, fair trade, food and recycling.  If you would like us to help you set up an action group to tackle a sustainability issue in your locality, then contact us.  We can also run activities in schools and give talks to local groups.  Our Sustainability Consultants can explain about:


Where our service is currently available

AfSL began in May 2004.  Our service is currently available in the Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Hulme, Old Trafford and Whalley Range areas of , supported by a grant of £155,000 from defra.  We plan to expand to other parts of the UK over the next 5 years.   Contact us if you would like us to come to your area.
